The Children of the Mediterranean Cultural Heritage and Creative Drama with Nature–Culture Workshop has completed the first phase of the 2025–2026 academic year at the TEGV Çiğli Education Park.
A Multidimensional Educational Program Reaching 831 Children
Implemented by the İzmir Mediterranean Academy, the program brought together students from Bayraklı, Çiğli, and Karşıyaka, reaching a total of 831 children through a series of educational activities.
Discovering the Mediterranean Through Experience
Children aged 9–10 explored the cultural heritage of the Mediterranean, their local geography, and their relationship with nature through:

Mediterranean: The Land of First Times visual storytelling activity,

Creative Drama Workshop,
-
Nature–Culture Talk,
all designed to encourage learning through play and experience.
Educational Materials for Lasting Impact
At the end of the program, each child received a copy of Mediterranean: The Land of First Times along with a five-piece educational kit.
An Ongoing Educational Journey Since 2019
Running since 2019, the Children of the Mediterranean program continues to pass on cultural heritage awareness, ecological consciousness, and a sense of urban belonging to new generations.
Throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, the program will continue at different centers and will move forward with the same commitment in the coming year.
