The Izmir Mediterranean Academy organized a workshop on Sunday, January 21st, at the Academy’s venue in Kemeraltı with the aim of generating ideas for its new publication. The New Publication Workshop, led by Ezgi Çatori and facilitated by Çiçek Tezer, Elif Kocabıyık, Helin Küçük, and Sarp Keskiner, took place with the participation of 25 attendees from various disciplines and age groups.
The İzmir Mediterranean Academy embarked on the idea of conducting a workshop to create an original communication tool that would establish a connection between the city and urban dwellers in Izmir and the Mediterranean identity during the development of its new publication. Prior to the workshop, a survey was conducted through the Academy network, reaching 300 people. Utilizing the data obtained from the survey, productions were created to establish four different publication characters, drawing inspiration from the reading experiences of four distinct reader profiles.
