As the İzmir Mediterranean Academy, we continue to listen to the story of the city through the narratives of our new neighbors, who come from different places, with our talk series titled “I am new to İzmir and…”.
On March 12th, we came together with the painter Rugül Serbest and the researcher-writer Yaşar Günaydın.
Rugül shared her story of return from Istanbul to İzmir, her journeys in painting and cinema, while Yaşar shared with us the hiking routes in İzmir, the agricultural stories in Ödemiş and the developments over the years in Birgi.
