Mediterranean Music and Dance Festival Postponed to a Later Date

The Mediterranean Music and Dance Festival, planned to be held by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mediterranean Academy between May 16-19, 2025, has been postponed to a later date.

The increasing poverty and the current economic situation in the country have significantly affected the allocation of public resources in the field of culture and arts. As access to cultural activities becomes increasingly limited, and as more people are forced to prioritize basic needs over cultural participation, our institution has had to reconsider its priorities in cultural programming.

We would like to emphasize once again how much we value the Festival’s mission to bring together countries, cities, and artists who share a common Mediterranean cultural heritage. We kindly ask for your understanding for this postponement.
